Mr. Alfred Wood, C.B., formerly the Chief Inspector of Machinery in the Royal Navy and Assistant to the Director of Dockyards, died at Plymouth on Wednesday, aged seventy years. He had served as Chief Engineer at Gibraltar, Malta and Chatham dockyards.
