1966 Peter Dixon and Son with Inveresk, Wiggins Teape, and Smith and Nephew, set up British Tissues through Associated Tissues, to provide a British source of tissues to compete with the American imports[1]
1973 Peter Dixon and Son and Inveresk sold their shares in British Tissues to Finnish companies Serlachius and Oy Nokia.
1979 Serlachius sold its shares to Oy Nokia
1980 Wiggins Teape sold its half share in Associated Tissues to Smith and Nephew who thereby controlled 100 percent of Associated Tissues.
