The joinery department produced some of the finest joinery in the North West of England with examples at Manchester Town Hall Extensions, Manchester Free Trade Hall, Bank of England, Albert Hall Manchester, Stockport Plaza, Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and John Rylands Library. The saying in the 1950's was that Gerrard's built half of Manchester. 


Builders and contractors
1969 Amalgamated with the [[Fram Group]] and became Fram Gerrard. Later  taken over by the Leonard Fairclough Civil Engineering Group in 1973 later to become AMEC in the 1980's.
