1848 The lease of the Victoria Iron Works, which was located two miles south of [[Ebbw Vale Ironworks]], was acquired by the [[Ebbw Vale Co]] from Sir Benjamin Hall (who was the son of Benjamin Hall of [[Cyfarthfa Ironworks]] and Charlotte, daughter of [[Richard Crawshay]]).
