1961 As part of the strategy to form its manufacturing divisions into subsidiary companies, GEC split its telecommunications group into 2 new companies: GEC (Telecommunications) and GEC (Electronics)[1]
1967 Combined with relevant AEI businesses as GEC-AEI Telecommunications.
Later became GEC Telecommunications Ltd, of Coventry and Hartlepool
1989 GEC Telecommunications Ltd became part of GEC Plessey Telecommunications Ltd[2]
