1837 Advert: ' ENGINEERS, MACHINE MAKERS, IRONFOUNDERS, &c. TO BE SOLD BY PRIVATE CONTRACT, by Order of the Assignees of Messrs. BROOK, RAPER, and BROOK, Ironfounders and Machine Makers, Bankrupts, the whole of the valuable STOCK-IN-TRADE, Working Tools, Implements and Utensils of the said Bankrupts, now in and upon the Manufactory and Premises occupied by them in the Low Fold, at the Bank, in Leeds; comprising Spinning Frames, Tow Cards, Tow Preparings, Line Spreading Frames, Drawing and Roving Frames, Engine Cylinders, Slide Lathes, Boring Machine, Fluting and Planing Machines, Cutting Engines, Vice Benches, Bellows, Crane, Moulding Boxes, Ladles, Sundry Castigsg. Pig and Bar Iron. Further Particulars may be known on Application on the Premises; or to Mr. Clayton, Bierley Iron Works; or Mr. J. O. March, Union Foundry, Meadow-Lan, Leeds, July 7, 1837. [1]
