1830 Lancaster Insolvent Debtors' Court: 'Moses Haley, late Foundry-street, Manchester, formerly machine-maker, and late in business, was opposed by a creditor and remanded twelve calendar months from the date of his petition, for giving undue preference and making away with his property, and thereby diminishing the sum divided amongst his creditors.'[1]
