Henley's Tyre and Rubber Co was a subsidiary of W. T. Henleys Telegraph Works Co

1914 W. T. Henleys Telegraph Works Co began producing solid tyres and canvas pneumatic tyres.

1918 The company was set up to take over the tyre department of the parent company.

Car and giant tyres were added later.

1929 British Industries Fair Advert for Golf and Tennis Balls; Sports Grips. Manufacturers of "Henley" orange Seam and "Popular" Blue Seam Tennis Balls, stitchless and sealed. Henley Black Name and OBO Golf Balls, Mesh Marking, Rubber Grips, Rubber Mallets. (Sports Goods Section - Stand No. B.38) [1]

1934 Patent - Improvements in or relating to flexible hand rails for escalators. [2]

1957 Avon bought Henleys Tyre and Rubber Co of Gravesend, Kent and the manufacture of Henley tyres was transferred to Melksham.
