1955 The name of the Brush ABOE Group would be changed to The Brush Group Ltd[1]. New name and group organisation was implemented with effect from 1 January 1956.

1957 Offer received from Hawker Siddeley Group for the Brush Group which would help alleviate Brush's shortage of capital.[2].
