He arrived in NSW some time before 1876 in which year he married Harriett Harvey at Mudgee, about 30kms down the track from Gulgong. In 1891 James built a small, timber cottage for his family in Gulgong. The cottage still stands and is in the grounds of, and forms a part of, the museum. James died in 1904.]] | |||
