1808 Born in Blackwall, son of George Green and his second wife Elizabeth (nee Unwin).
With his brothers Frederick and Richard, continued the shipbuilding business of Green, Wigram and Green.
1832 Money Wigram built the first ship for his own account for trade to Australia. The Green family followed suit and began to establish a larger fleet of ships.
1834 Married Elizabeth Dowson in Limehouse[1]
1849 The business became Richard and Henry Green, later R. and H. Green and Co
