1958 'A news cutting dated August 20. 1957, refers to the supercharger designed by Mr. C. Shorrock which made it possible for Stirling Moss to obtain new world speed records for the kilometre, mile, five miles, five and ten kilometres in the M.G. car at over 240 miles an hour. In between these dates, Chris Shorrock has such a vast wealth of practical and technical achievement that it would fill a volume. * * Chris Shorrock, in association with his brother Noel, has for over 20 years been designing and building probably the world's most efficient and practical superchargers. They were known before the war as Centric Superchargers. Innumerable speed events and world records have been won using these simple but brilliant products of the Shorrock Brothers. I have before me three enormous books of cuttings full of such achievements. Perhaps the most outstanding are the 1938 and 1939 M.G. world records gained by Lt.-Col. "Goldie" Gardner. Chris Shorrock has been closely associated with all these M.G. record attempts and invariably the supercharger has been one of his design.'
