1884 'A circular has been issued announcing the dissolution of the firm of Messrs. Watson and Naylor, of the Pike Mills, Kidderminster, and Mr. Jos. Naylor retires from business after a long and honourable connection with the trade of the town. The worsted spinning, department of the firm will in future be carried on by Messrs. R. S. Watson and J. H. Watson, trading as Watson Brothers and Co., while Messrs. T. and A. Naylor will continue the woollen spinning and dyeing, and the manufacture of Kidderminster carpets. The latter, though owing their name to the town, had not been made here for some time till Messrs. Watson and Naylor reintroduced their manufacture by steam power a few years ago. Messrs. T. and A. Naylor intend to further develop this class of goods.'[1]
