Established in 1867 by the late Lawrence Skene, from whose representatives business was acquired by the Portree Wool Mill Company Limited, after his death.
1901 The Portree Wool Mill Company Limited, a private company with capital of £2,000, was incorporated.[1]
1944 The company went into voluntary liquidation with a view to its reconstruction.[2] A new company of the same name was incorporated, with capital of £15,630.[3]
