French engineer, Engineer of the Ponts et Chaussées, Director of the Établissements Cail, president of Société française de constructions mécaniques, vice-president of the Comptoir central d'achats industriels.

He was the son of Louis Le Chatelier (1815-1873). One of his brothers was the famous chemist Henry Louis Le Chatelier (1850-1936).
