1851 Established by John Shields.
1897 The company was registered on 17 December, to acquire the business of the firm of the same name, linen damask manufacturers. [1]
1922 The business of John Jeffrey and Co, linen manufacturers of Kirkcaldy, was transferred to John Shields and Co on 9th December.[2]
1936 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[3]
