1901 Born in Coventry the son of Samuel Theo Newsome (1868-1930), a watch manufacturer, and his wife Kate

1911 Living at Sherbourne House, The Butts, Coventry: Samuel Theo Newsome (age 42 born Coventry), a Watch Manufacturer and Employer. With his wife (married 19 years with five children - four living) Kate Newsome (age 39 born Coventry) and their children Theo Edward Newsome (age 17 born Coventry), University Undergraduate; Samuel Herbert Newsome (age 9 born Coventry); Mary Brenda Louise Newsome (age 7 born Coventry); and Alan James Newsome (age 8 months born Coventry). Three servants.[1]

Educated at Oundle School, Peterborough

Apprentice at Calthorpe Motor Co

1919-22 Newsome, a garage owner, produced a few Cooper cars[2]

1923 Established S. H. Newsome and Co; built the Warwick car[3]

1930 One of the executors of the will of Samuel Theo Newsome.[4]

1930 Moved into the theatrical business.

1949. Life member of British Racing Drivers' Club

1953 Chairman and Managing Director, S. H. Newsome & Co. Ltd.
