Elder Mill was a cotton spinning mill in Romiley, Stockport, Greater Manchester.
It was taken over by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation in the 1930s and passed to Courtaulds in 1964.

The mill was re-equipped in 1907-8.
Power was supplied by a 600 hp vertical compound Wheelock-type engine by Daniel Adamson and Co. 105 rpm. Flywheel was 16 ft dia. Photographed by George Watkins in 1937. Photo and information here and here [1]. It was also photographed by George watkins in 1955 [2], who noted that the LP cylinder was replaced at some point by Scott and Hodgson. It was a tall engine, confined in a relatively small engine room.
