1957 Eskimo Foods was formed by Associated Fisheries by merging its 2 frozen foods operations, Grimsby Frozen Products and Frigidfruits[1] and 2 other subsidiaries.

1963 Merger of frozen food interests, Fropax, Frood and Eskimo - Fropax acquired Eskimo Foods, Associated Fisheries acquired Glacier Foods and held 20 percent of the equity in the companies; Union International Co continued to control Fropax; J Lyons controlled Glacier Foods[3]
