Crosses the River Irwell between the Spinningfields development and Salford.
This attractive, innovative and nicely-detailed bridge provides a welcome contrast to the typical bland, ugly, pretentious or frankly ridiculous bridges constructed in British towns and cities in recent years.
Whether it will stand the test of time remains to be seen, but it does seem to provide relatively little scope for vandalism.
