Frederick Charles Webb (1828-1899). Telegraph Engineer. Civil Engineer.
1828 October 1st. Born at Newington, Surrey, the son of George Webb and his wife Susannah
1864 Worked for Henley's, supervised the arrangements for the manufacture of the Persian Telegraph Cable and took part in the installation.
Remained in India on behalf of the Government in engineering charge of the line until June 1868.[1]
1899 Died aged 71.[2]
