1811 Sale Notice: 'Machinery &c. Sale by Auction. By Mr Gasquoine, On Thursday and Friday the 4th and 5th days of April 1811, by order of the assignees Messrs M Longsdon and Co, at their late Cotton Factory, situate in Lymm, in Cheshire,
ALL the valuable machinery, comprising 24 mules 228 spindles each 16inch rollers
3 throstles 180 spindles each
1 ditto ditto
10 carding engines 40 inches
2 ditto ditto 36 inches
5 ditto ditto 18 inches
4 stretching frames 114 spindles each
6 drawing and 6 skeleton frames
4 bobbin and fly frames 80 spindles each
A devil, numerous cans, straps, gallowses, skips, a lathe, Joiners and smiths tools, brass castings, &c, millwright work, steam pipes, iron castings, and various articles used in the spinning business.
This machinery is in excellent condition, and the Mill is close the Duke of Bridgewater's Canal.
The Machinery may be seen by applying at the premises, and the sale will commence each day at eleven o'clock precisely.'[1]
