Viney Bridge Mills, Misterton, Crewkerne, Somerset
Established by Samuel Sparks and Bartholomew Gidley in 1789 to produce linen and woollen girth webbing. Subsequently owned by Thomas Matthews, and then Arthur Hart (1880s). [1]
1885 Advertising webbing for horses and upholstery [2]
The mill was originally water-powered. A beam engine was installed later, followed by another steam engine in the 1890s. A boiler is still in situ (2012)
Continued to make webbing until the 1990s, as Arthur Hart Webbing
