Born the sixth son of John Broadbent
1861 Living at 304 Edge, Longwood, Huddersfield: John Broadbent (age 65 born Lindley), Merchant and Mill Owner. With his wife Esther, a daughter and three sons - Butterworth Broadbent (age 24 born Lindley), Merchant; Benjamin Broadbent (age 11 born Longwood); and Arthur Broadbent (age 6 born Longwood).[1]
