1834 Advertisement: 'Bankrupt's Effects - Free from Duty - Sale of most valuable Cotton Spinning and Power Loom Fustian Weaving Machinery, by Messrs. [[Sharp, Roberts and Co]]., [[Galloway, Bowman and Co]]., [[Joseph Chessborough Dyer|J. C. Dyer]], Garnett, and the late Manley; also a New Portable High. Pressure Steam Engine, of twelve horses' power, and two New Steam Boilers, Millwright Work, Steam and Gas Pipes, &c. <br>By Mr. T. W. HODGSON, (by order of the assignees of Mr. Joseph Walsh, bankrupt,) at the Waterloo cotton mill situate in Latchford, Warrington, on Wednesday and Thursday, the 20th and 21st days August, 1834, (and not-as. before advertised,) at ten o'clock in the forenoon of each day. <br>The whole of the very valuable machinery upon the said premises, comprising one double blowing machine, 28 inches on the bearers; twelve carding engines, 40 inches on the wire, with two clearers, twelve flats licker in, and drawing head at front, iron framing, by Manley....[detailed list of machinery]..... The whole of the millwright work and steam and gas pipes upon the premises.
