Lewis James Seargeant (1826-1905)

Born at Trowbridge the son of Thomas Searjeant, a Clothier.

1852 Married at Paddington to Elizabeth Sedley Barnes

1867 General manager of the South Devon Railway

1891 General manager of the Grand Trunk Railway.[1]

1896 Retires from the Grand Trunk Railway.[2]

1905 Died at Tunbridge Wells
