1923 Incorporated as a private company, with a capital of £2,350, to manufacture and sell an improved joint or coupling for pipes and tubes, invented by James H. Lamont, engineer, and to carry on the business of engineers and brass founders.[1]
1936 Public company.
1942 The company bought the firm of motor engineers, Bowmac Motors, of Glasgow Road, Corstorphine, Edinburgh.[2]
1961 Engineers, brass founders, and finishers and manufacturers of compression joints for copper tubes and pipes. [3]
1973 Name changed to Lamont Holdings Ltd
By 1982 was owned by Lamont Holdings plc[4]
