Prior to 1824 the Old Distillery was in use (now ruined); it was two miles higher up the mountains in the heart of a smuggling district on the slopes of Cairn O'Mount.
1824 The new distillery was established by Messrs. Durie.
1890 Distillery enlarged.
1912 Incorporated as a Limited Company.
