During the War was on active service with the Australian Imperial Forces in Egypt, Gallipoli, and France; organiser of various civil aviation enterprises in Australia, 191927; made record flight round Australia with Wing Commander Kingsford-Smith, 1927; co-commander on " Southern Cross " trans-Pacific flight, 1928, and on flight from Sydney to England, 1929; joint author of " Story of the Southern Cross ' Trans-Pacific Flight, 1928."
