1902 Ardelt established to make cranes.

post WWII the family set up a new plant in West Germany in Wilhelmshaven.

1953 these works were acquired by the Krupp organisation

1954 renamed Krupp-Ardelt GmbH

C1964 Friedrich Krupp GmbH acquired the remaining 49% of the shares and the company was renamed Krupp-Kranbau.

1968 The Wilhelmshaven plant was integrated into the Krupp Industrie- und Stahlbau (headquartered in Rheinhausen).
