1899 The Edinburgh Autocar Company Limited was registered as a public company, with capital of £50,000, to carry on the business of motor car proprietors. The company acquired the existing business of the same name and intended to run and let out for hire motor vehicles for pleasure and business, and also for trade delivery and transport purposes. In addition, the company offered repairs to motor vehicles belonging to others, and also planned to sell vehicles.[1]
1900 January. T. R. Outhwaite is General Manager and gives talk 'Autocars for Public Service'.[2]
1901 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[3]
