1961 The company was incorporated to acquire the business of umbrella rib manufacturers carried on at Penistone by William Hoyland and Co which was in the hands of the liquidators

1970 was one of only 2 makers of umbrellas in the UK[1]

1989 Renamed Holyland Fox Ltd

1992 Holyland Fox of Penistone gained a Queen's Award for Export for its umbrella ribs[2]

It was a subsidiary of Readicut International plc[3]
