1990 Company incorporated to build accommodation modules for offshore oil and gas platforms

1990 S.L.P. Engineering Ltd owned 75 percent of the company which had been set up in combination with Davy Corporation to design and construct accommodation modules for offshore platforms. The company would lease the Middlesbrough yard of Davy.[1]

1991 Wimpey sold SLP Engineering to Odebrecht of Brazil[2]

1991 SLP Engineering acquired the remaining 25 percent.

1991 SLP Davy Engineering Ltd of Middlesbrough was renamed SLP Engineering Teesside Ltd of Middlesbrough

1993 A number of related companies operating under similar names (they had the same auditors who resigned at this time - presumably taken over):

  • SLP Engineering Ltd of Lowestoft
  • SLP Engineering Teesside Ltd of Lowestoft
  • SLP Crown Engineering Ltd
