1679 Start of the distilling business (see advert)

1889 Business established as whisky blenders and merchants in Dublin and London

1896 Became part of the business of John Haig and Co Ltd;

1897 Public company incorporated to acquire the business of whisky blenders and merchants carried on by Haig and Haig in London and Dublin. Mr John A. Haig had acquired the interest of John Haig and Co in this business and would continue as managing director.[1]
