Sandvik U.K. of Manor Way, Halesowen, Worcestershire, subsidiary of Sandvik of Sweden
1966 Sandvik U.K. was formed by the merger of 2 British subsidiaries of the Swedish company: Sandvik Swedish Steels and Sandvik Steel Band Conveyors[1]. It had 4 divisions:
- Steel
- Conveyor and Process Plant
- Coromant tungsten carbide products
- Hand tools and press knives
1969 A new company, Sandvik Conveyors Ltd, was incorporated, a subsidiary of Sandvik Conveyors GmbH[2]
1973 Acquired the Wickman Wimet business[3]
1975 Sandvik U.K. renamed Sandvik Ltd
1982 Formed Wimet Wear Parts
