1896 The Worcestershire Brewing and Malting Company Limited was registered as a public company, with capital of £260,000, to purchase as going concerns and amalgamate Bucknall's Brewery, Kidderminster (established in 1807) and the Delph Brewery, Brierley Hill (established in 1876), together with 126 licensed houses held by the breweries, as well as maltings and other properties.
