By 1894 the Gas Institute had been incorporated - Incorporated Gas Institute[2]

C.E., was Honorary Secretary of the Institute. An illuminated address was presented to Mr. F. G. Burfield, the late Secretary of the Institute.
1902 Amalgamated with the Incorporated Institution of Gas Engineers as the Institution of Gas Engineers[3][4]
