Business established by Thomas Nesham Kirkham, David Hulett, Thomas Hersey, Samuel Chandler (sen.), Josiah Chandler, and Samuel Chandler (jun.).
1879 The company was registered 7 October, to take over the business of the firm of the same name, as patentees of apparatus, machines etc used in the manufacture or purification of gas. [2] [3]
1884 Kirkham, Hulett, and Chandler Limited applied[4] to amend the patents granted to Thomas Nesham Kirkham, David Hulett, Samuel Chandler, junior, and Josiah Chandler, for the inventions of:
- "improvements in apparatus for the purification of gas" of March 1877
- "improvements in apparatus for the purification of gas" of May 1877
and to Thomas Nesham Kirkham, David Hulett, Samuel Chandler, senior, and Samuel Chandler, junior for:
- "improvements in apparatus for condensing, washing, and purifying gas and other vapours" of Dec 1877.
1885 Gold medal for invention to Kirkham, Hersey and Clark for a collective exhibit of gas apparatus.
1914 Gas engineers. Specialities: gas washer scrubbers, condensers, tar extractors, purifier grids. [5]
