1883 The West Carbery Tramways and Light Railways Company was registered December 7th, to construct a light railway, 14.5 miles in length, authorised under the Tramways and Public Companies (Ireland) Act 1883.
1892 The name was changed to the Schull and Skibbereen Tramway and Light Railway Company.
1908 This undertaking has been taken over by the County Council of Co. Cork, a committee of which is now working it. [1]
1925 Absorbed into the Great Southern Railways
