Micro Consultants had developed a way of taking an image from a camera, storing it and then analysing it by computer. Most of the applications were in the military field such as enhancing images taken at night by computer techniques
1974 Set up a subsidiary, Quantel, to exploit its expertise in storing video images in a digital form in the television broadcast field.[1]
