1882 Description of their electric light system, with a dynamo driven by a 12 HP Otto gas engine. 20 Jablochkoff arc lights, each of 378 candle-power. The cost was £150 p.a., using the lighting for an average of 3 hours each night. Each lamp cost 1d. per hour, and the gas used per lamp also cost 1d. per hour.[1]
