Alfred Harold Whiteley (c1894-1967)
Born the son of Alfred Whiteley, a machinist at a woollen mill.

1967 Died. 'Mr Alfred H. Whiteley of Greenways, High Oakham-road, Mansfield has died in St George’s Hospital London after an operation. He was 73 He was governing director of the Whiteley Electrical Radio Company a firm which he founded in 1926 with a capital of £350. The business now has two large factories in the town and a staff 500. Mr Whiteley was also head of two Sheffield companies Marrison and Catherall and Ross and Company (Foundry).'[2]
