1904 NEWTON, Albert Edward, Norfolk Cottage, London Road, Reading. Car: 2.75-h.p. de Dion tricycle. Total distance travelled since becoming a motorist: 10,000 miles. Hobbies: Fishing, photography, amateur theatricals. Principal aim in furthering automobilism: (1) To convince doubters that the automobile is a practical, commercial vehicle, and not a mechanical toy. (2) The federation of provincial automobile clubs. Has a wide experience of different makes of motor-cars, and has motored extensively throughout Great Britain. Is hon. sec. of the Reading Automobile Club. [1]
