Agent, Chief Engineer of Sittingbourne, Faversham and Sheppey areas of the South Eastern Gas Board, told a “Times-Guardian™ reporter that gas is being produced from oil on the Isle of Grain and will shortly be available to every house in Sheppey.'[1]
