The tiny works, just 30 ft wide by 35 ft long, was located on Bank Meadow Street, at the end of a row of terraced back-to-back houses, running parallel to Ashton Road. Later, Ashton Road became Ashton Old Road, and Bank Meadow Street was swept away.
