1894 Howarth's Ordsal Mill was visited by members of the IMechE and described and illustrated in Engineering 1894/07/27.

1897 The company was registered on 7 April, to take over the business of the firm of the same name, cotton spinners. [2]

1903 Built a new head office and warehouse on Dale Street, Manchester.

1947 Opened a new factory at Swan Lane, Hindley Green, near Wigan.[3]

1953 Company name changed to Richard Haworth and Co (Holdings).[4]

1961 Merged with Vantona Textiles[5]
