1851 Robert White 32, ship builder, lived in Cowes with Louisa White 34, John Henry White 5, Limar Alice White 2, Franklin White 1[1]
After his father retired, he and his brother John took over the management of the shipbuilding business at Cowes.
1856 Messrs John and Robert White, shipbuilders of Cowes, subscribed £20 to the Smith Testimonial Fund, commemorating the work of F. P. Smith in promoting the screw propeller.
1861 Retired ship builders, lived in West Cowes with his family[2]
