1901 Chesterfield power station started to supply electricity to the town of Chesterfield. The station was owned and operated by Chesterfield Corporation.
It was redeveloped as demand for electricity grew and old plant was replaced, and had a generating capacity of 6.9 MW in the 1920s.
1929 The power station was selected for the Mid-East England Electricity Scheme[1]
1948 Nationalised.
1958 The station closed on 1 April.
