Robin Rhind-Tutt was born in 1941, and remains at the same place at which he was born. Known as Rob or Robin, he left school in 1956, and was employed by the Ministry of Defence as a engineering apprentice.
During theat time he took part in offroad motorcycle competitions using the frame he had designed and built himself. While competing in those events, other competitors saw how well the machine was built and how well it performed.
Following such good performance, people began to enquire if he would build them a similar machine.
As the result, he decided to form Wasp Motorcycles and start building sidecar motocross, sidecar grasstrack and solo motocross machines to sell on the worldwide market.
Today, Wasp Motorcyces are still building sidecar. and solo motocross rolling chassis to order.
