Field was a motorcycle produced in 1914.
The machine was steam-powered and had a single-acting two-cylinder engine. It would never be a popular choice as the engine type removed the need for clutch and gearbox, and it took a long time to fire up the boiler.
Its arrival also co-incided with the outbreak of war, so the whole project was doomed from the start.
